Diablo Immortal is getting one amazing new collaboration as Spawn is officially crossing over with the dark world of Sanctuary on September 29th, 2026. Blizzard Entertainment has teased the collaboration alongside some seriously impressive artwork, where you can easily say the combination already looks like it was made for Diablo.

The announcement comes as part of Diablo Immortal’s Patch 5.1 titled Made to Suffer, which continues the game’s ongoing 30th anniversary celebrations. Blizzard describes the upcoming Spawn collaboration as a “hellish” addition to the game, with the crossover set to arrive later this month.

More collaboration details of Diablo Immortal x Spawn will be revealed at BlizzCon 2026

For anyone unfamiliar with Spawn, the character was created by Todd McFarlane and first appeared in Image Comics’ Spawn #1 in 1992. The character follows Al Simmons, a former government assassin who is killed and sent to Hell before returning as a Hellspawn.

Spawn has since become one of the most popular dark antiheroes in comics, appearing across comics, animation, films, toys, and games. I’d say Spawn’s hellish mythology, demons, dark fantasy aesthetic, and antihero identity are such a great mix with Diablo’s own world.

McFarlane himself described the project as taking the worlds of Spawn and Diablo and essentially meshing their two versions of Hell together. Blizzard and McFarlane have been working closely on the collaboration, with hundreds of concepts and pieces of artwork already created, as shared in the latest dev update.

The key art shared on the official X handle already looks awesome, especially with Spawn’s signature red-and-black design surrounded by Diablo’s demonic visuals. It also gives us a pretty good idea of what to expect from the crossover’s cosmetics when it arrives, while excitement for what else is in the store is high.

At the time of writing, more details are under wraps for now. More of the collaboration will be shown at BlizzCon on September 13th, 2026, so stay tuned.
