Earlier this week, Nintendo confirmed Ocarina of Time for the Switch 2 was developed internally by Nintendo's Entertainment Planning & Development (EPD) Production Group No. 3.
There's been plenty of speculation about who else might be involved in the project, and Xenoblade Chronicles' developer Monolith Soft has now officially announced it assisted with certain aspects of the game, including the "design, programming and graphics".
Here's a rough translation, and you can see the game has now been officially added to Monolith's game page on its website:
Monolith Soft announcement: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, for which Monolith Soft handled partial contract development of the game design, programming, and graphics, has been released by Nintendo Co., Ltd.
Monolith Soft has already played a huge part in Nintendo's releases this year (and since the arrival of the Switch 2 last June). Apart from the Switch 2 Edition of the Xenoblade games, it's helped out Splatoon Raiders this year. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is also returning next month.
Other Zelda projects it's assisted with since the Switch generation include Tears of the Kingdom and Breath of the Wild.
