The correct answer for Vlast the Opportunity Merchant's game in Genshin Impact is: Middle, any (it will always spawn a Large Geo Slime), right, and middle. Note that you can't talk to Vlast until you complete certain quests, so make sure to follow the quests in Novokitezhgrad if you want to claim his Luxurious Chest.
Vlast Opportunity Merchant In Genshin Impact
Vlast the Opportunity Merchant is located north of the Novokitezhgrad icon in Downtown Novokitezhgrad. Teleport to the city using the Novokitezhgrad icon, then look north. Go up the stairs, and you'll immediately see Vlast and his three locked chests. You will get a Common Chest, an Exquisite Chest, and a Luxurious Chest for completing Vlast's challenge.
However, before you can talk to Vlast, you may have to complete the following quests first:
- Citadel of the Ancient Fae
- Let Not All Rivers Run Dry
- Awake and Sing, Ye Sleepers in the Dust
- Penumbral Escape
I saw some people say you can speak to Vlast after you unlock the Pickaxe in the Awake and Sing, Ye Sleepers in the Dust quest, but I tried talking to Vlast after completing each quest, and he only becomes available after I finish Penumbral Escape. So if you can't interact with Vlast, I recommend completing all of the Domovoy Miner's quests first.
Don't confuse Vlast with Vlasta. While Vlast is an Opportunity Merchant who can give you chests, Vlasta is the owner of the Fluffy Gloves. Vlasta sells local specialties like Kristallfold in Genshin Impact.
After speaking to Vlast and agreeing to try his challenge, you must select the rock you believe contains a gift. In my experience, the correct answer for the first one is the middle rock. You will get a Common Chest for guessing this correctly.
Don't worry about choosing the wrong answer, as you can keep trying until you pick the right one. After making your choice, you must destroy the rock, which you can do using the Pickaxe nearby, by making your own Pickaxe Prime Ice Construct, or even using Mitya's tap Elemental Skill.
On the second try, it doesn't matter which rock you choose. It will always spawn a Large Geo Slime. After beating the enemy, Paimon will complain that it's dangerous, so Vlast will set up a barrier between the player and the rocks. So instead of mining it close, you can throw the Pickaxe to destroy the stones. It's similar to when you're rescuing the miners in the Kresnik Kristall Mines.
On the third try, I was able to destroy all the rocks before making my choice, and the correct answer was: right. This unseals the Exquisite Chest.
For the third and final game, the rocks are filled with explosive stones. So when you're throwing the Pickaxe, you need to make sure not to touch the red rocks. This means you also can't use Mitya's Skill, since it will destroy everything. Choose the middle rock to finally unlock the Luxurious Chest.
